Tender Brussels Sprouts with Thyme
Hayden LOVES brussels sprouts (must have been how many he was getting in the womb!), and this is our favorite way to eat them. Cook this brussels sprouts recipe for your family or friends, and you just might convert them to brussels sprouts lovers!
1 lb brussels sprouts (about 2 doz)
1 clove garlic, crushed or minced
3 tbs olive oil
1/2 tsp thyme
Trim stems from sprouts and halve them. In a large saute pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sprouts, garlic, and thyme, and cook until just beginning to brown, stirring frequently. Add enough water to cover the bottom (1-2 cups), cover, and simmer until tender. Salt and pepper to taste.
