Quick Family Recipes: Power Pizza
Pizza Pizza! Who says pizza isn’t healthy? We eat a LOT of pizza at our house. We love it, Hayden loves it, and it sure is easy. Sometimes we cheat and order in, and other times we make our own. The fresh toppings on this pizza are packed with vitamins, so shed your guilt, and go back for that third piece!
1 pizza crust
1 cup pasta or pizza sauce
3 cups shredded mozzarella
1 small bunch swiss chard, washed, trimmed, chopped
1 cup sliced basil
1 tomato, chopped
1/3 red onion, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 450º Place pizza crust on baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread sauce, then 1/2 of the cheese. Add chard and basil, then lightly salt pizza. Add onion and tomato, then rest of cheese. Bake about 10 minutes, cooking pizza until crust is crispy and cheese is melted.
