Tuesday’s List

September 21, 2010

Between the daytime craziness and our let’s-try-this-again night time potty training, we are all rather grumpy, over here.  And tired.  But even with my tantrums and Hayden’s demands for one more Wonder Pets, we still manage to have some entertaining conversations.  Talking with an almost-three-year-old is sometimes like interacting with someone on mushrooms.  Or maybe he knows I am going to share everything he does with you so he is focusing on quality instead of quantity.  Here are some things he said this week:

“When I grow up to be a rabbit, maybe I will fit in that hole.”

“The alarm sees us.”

“When did you make my belly button, Mommy?”

“It’s not fair.”

What’s not fair, honey?

“The fire alarm.”

Clearly, he has not grasped the concept of “fairness”.

“Mommy, are your boobies sharp?”

Um, because they have a sad little pointy shape?

“No, not the baf!  Not yet! It’s not safe!”

Clearly, he is still working on the concept of “safety”.

“I want to move to a different house.”

So do I, Hayden.  So do I.

My two year old and I have similar conversations. They sure love to keep us on our toes.

    Found you on Mom Loop!

I’m trying really hard not to make a dirty joke incorporating rabbits and holes. You are welcome. Also, my tongue now hurts from all the biting involved.
