Sesame Glazed Bok Choy

I thought, “If I have to deal with one more week’s supply of bok choy, I’m just going to compost it.”  I am down with greens.  Even bok choy.  Little Hayden is down with greens.  Not bok choy.  I have tried several times, and he has never loved it.  More like, “Meh.”  So this week, I had the genius idea of putting brown sugar on the bok choy.  Oh, yes, sweet brown sugar.  It was awesome.  Hayden still snubbed it, but I thought it was awesome.

6-8 bunches baby bok choy
1 tbs canola oil
1 clove garlic, crushed or minced
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs brown sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Trim bok choy and discard tough stems.  In a large skillet, heat canola oil over medium heat.  Add bok choy and garlic and gook until tender.  Combine soy sauce through sesame oil and pour over bok choy, tossing to coat.  Top with sesame seeds and serve immediately.

    This sounds delicious! Love the twist. Being Chinese, I love Bok Choy. 🙂 If you like Bok Choy you should try Snow Pea Leaf. It’s very good sauteed with garlic and served over steamed rice (the traditional Chinese way)!
