Is It Bindi Gone Wrong or Just The Biggest Zit in LA County?
What’s up with the shoulder pads? I am all for capturing the best of each fashion decade, but I already suffer from a short neck. The last thing I need is a pair of foam pillows closing in on my ears.
Speaking of pads, you know what I love? My heating pad. I get in bed every night and for a little thermotherapy. But what I really need is a little therapy for my face. This morning I drove Hayden to school wearing sunglasses in the rain because after the surgery I performed on two milia under my right eye and a stubborn zit that now resembles bindi gone wrong I looked like I had been beat up.
My skin and I are in a tough spot. The dark circles I had as a child are now full-on bags. If someone didn’t know that I always look like this, they’d think I’d been up all night. True, I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in almost five years, but I know I wouldn’t look that much better even if I did.
In order to appear less sickly, I started wearing cover up every day (which is a big step for me since I only wear makeup of any kind like three times a year). After just a week of this I had a bunch of milia under my eyes. A few years back I switch from an oil-free cover up (Laura Mercier) to a more creamy one (also Laura Mercier) because the oil-free one was making my under eye look dry and flaky. And now I have eye zits.
So what’s an oily, dry girl woman to do? I’ll go back on the ‘tane if I have to.

Oh I have had waaaaay bigger.

The picture does not do it justice.

Remember “Don’t Go to the Cosmetic Counter Without Me”? Bookstore in Tyler Tx so many years ago?
This with it lady has her own line of makeup/skin care that is good for every skin type. No fragrance, no animal testing, etc., And she clues you in on what are the “best products” in the department store/big box/etc.
http://www.paulaschoice.com.
I get absolutely no kickback but have been using her products since thei nception many years ago. And my skin broke out right into menopause.

I remember it well and actually pulled out the baking soda the other day for a facial scrub. My skin felt so good after! I also realized that my facial wash is not removing the coverup from my eyes, which may be the problem. Must use makeup remover.

So I’ve been using a glycolic acid night cream every other night and it’s helped A LOT with my skin. I have the same issues. Once I attack my face, there’s no leaving the house for at least an hour, unless I’m wearing a mask.

Oh, I am on the program. Have been for several years. I am already at level 3 glycolic acid, so there’s really nowhere to go from here. I think my face is still freaking out from when I was pregnant for five minutes. Maybe. What product line do you use?

I can’t say much. Darned if I don’t have a doozy right under my eye right now too! Worst part is I think it was caused by wrinkle cream. Just not fair.

See, that’s the problem. I am now old enough to require some sort of eye moisturizer, and yet they all clog up my pores.

Ok….I used to get those melia a lot…maybe aging has slowed them down, but since I started using Skin Ceuticals products…I rarely get one. Go to their website and shop around. I cleanse daily with LHA Clensing Gel..it is for oily, problematic skin(which I have the opposite), but my facialist(you should get one as often asyou can afford it…she will get those melia for you!!) told me to try it, and I am hooked. Also….the best concealer for under eye is Lancome Effecernes Waterproof…I know it isn’t very natural, but it works!!! I also use a cream for the eyes ..Teamine Eye Complex by Revision, Inc(it has something in it that helps dimenish dark circles)…..I buy this from the dermatologist, but I am sure you could order directly. Hope these suggestions might help.
Love,
mom

The Teamine creme got good reviews, but some people said it gave them milia, so I’ll have to keep looking for something else.
